Language: The official language spoken in Zakynthos / Zante is Greek, with that said you will find a lot of the local people can speak very good English especially in the more popular tourist areas of the island but still in isolated villages they only speak Greek.

Currency: The currency in Zante is the Euro, which is also used across the whole of Greece.

Credit Cards and ATMs: You’ll find ATM machines across the island, although these are most common in resort locations and towns.
