Welcome to las Vegas
This was my first trip in U.S.A. and not the last one (3 times at least) as it’s a good stop if you visit Los Angeles, National Parks and San Francisco!
I tried few hotels (Bellagio,Paris,Venetian) and here I will give you some info about what you can do in Las Vegas if you have just 2/3 days.
First of all, make your way to the Strip – the famous 6.8km strip of kitsch and bawdy hotels that have become the symbol of Vegas.
All the casinos offer free drinks for gamblers, but remember, don’t forget to tip your waiter!
As it gets dark, head over to the Bellagio (one of the most luxury themed hotels in Las Vegas, located in the centre of the Strip) to witness the famous fountains (it gets crowded around 5-10 mins before each show, so grab your place and wait for the magic).
Before exploring Fremont Street in the evening, pay a visit to the Mob Museum. Housed in a former courthouse, the National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement explores the dark underworld of the Mob in Vegas and beyond.
The Fremont Street Experience is home to some of the oldest hotels in Vegas, such as The Golden Gate and The Golden Nugget (the slots here are cheap).
Walking till the south end, you will find the famous ‘Welcome to Las Vegas‘ sign but BE WARNED there aren’t pedestrian crossings near the sign so be careful!
Lunch/Dinner:at Mandalay Bay where you can try the beautiful French fine dining at Fleur by Hubert Keller.
The New York New York roller coaster sweeps out of the hotel and across the Las Vegas skyline. It is one of the most thrilling roller coasters and the views out over Vegas are amazing.
Good news: rooms in Las Vegas—even luxury rooms—are often cheaper than in other major cities. Travel experts speculate that this could be because Las Vegas casino resorts make most of their money through gambling. For this reason, they can offer rooms for a cheaper rate, which leaves you with more cash on hand for—you guessed it—gambling.
MGM Grand, Caesar’s Palace, and Mirage are all renowned for their sprawling, luxurious pools.
If you’re traveling with kids consider one of these family-friendly resorts:
Circus Circus: kid-centric activities, including live circus performances every day from 11AM till midnight, Circus Circus is located right beside Adventuredome, a theme park that’s ideal for families.
Mandalay Bay: With a multi-pool complex including a wave pool, a lazy river, and a sandy beach, as well as a shark reef aquarium and easy-to-access rooms that don’t require walking through the busy casino area, Mandalay bay is a great choice for families with kids.
Orleans: This off-Strip hotel offers a supervised playzone, arcade, bowling alley, and movie theater, as well as free shuttle service to the Strip every half hour.
I would like to spend few words about the Venetian. I loved the location , the size of the room, and all the food options available right at the casino. There is a fantastic replica of Venice’s campanile and Rialto Bridge. The Venetian and its sister tower, The Palazzo, are both a part of The Venetian Resort.
And, a singing gondolier pilots every gondola. Surrender to the romance of a live serenade from your one-of-a-kind vantage point.
